Fall is a beautiful time of year. The trees become so colorful with their bright leaves and blowing beauty. The problem is that as fall moves on, so do the leaves. And when that happens they seem to find their way directly into your gutters. Please take the time to have them cleaned out before winter weather sets in. When the freeze comes and the gutters are still full of leaves and junk, the snow and rain water builds up in the gutters and when it freezes the water cannot find it's way to the downspouts and backs up on the shingles of the home and damage not only the roof, but the interior of the property, ceilings, walls, floors, etc. Most homeowners carry insurance that will help repair these damages. But, remember all insurance policies contain deductibles and they usually range from $500 to $5000. In the long run it's less expensive to clean the gutters now then have an ice damming issue later.
